Kazakhstan and Ukraine sign a number of bilateral agreements.

During an official visit of president Nursultan Nazarbayev to Ukraine a number of bilateral agreements were signed. In particular, Presidents agreed on increasing the amount of transit of Kazakh oil through the Ukrainian territory to 8mn tonnes. The education and science ministries of signed an agreement on cooperation in education and science, whereas the Ukrainian Family, Youth and Sports Ministry and the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Kazakhstan signed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of physical education and sports. In addition, the sides also signed an interagency agreement on the creation of favorable tariff conditions for cargo transportation by rail. In addition, the State Committee for Financial Monitoring of Ukraine and the Kazakh FinMin signed a memorandum on cooperation in combating money laundering and terrorist financing, while the national space agencies of Ukraine and Kazakhstan signed a plan of cooperation in the space sector in 2010-2011.
