Kazakhstan and Russia to create JV for cable production.

Kazakhstan and Russia intend to form a joint venture for the production of cables and wires, the press service of Samruk-Energo, has reported. The relevant documents were signed in Moscow on Nov 30. The signed documents allow to create on the territory of Kazakhstan joint venture for the production of cables and wires and to organize the production of aluminum products for the production facilities of J Aluminium of Kazakhstan . Samruk-Energo explained that Invent holding includes cable plant TATKABEL while holding Unkomteh unites two Russian cable plants- Irkutskcable and Kirscable. Samruk-Energo was created in May 2007 and is part of the National welfare. The scope of the company includes the production, distribution and sale of electricity and thermal energy, and mining coal.
