Embraco Slovakia to invest EUR 13.5mn in new assembly line.

Refrigerator compressors producer Embraco Slovakia will launch a EUR 13.5mn assembly line at its plant in Spisska Nova Ves, eastern Slovakia, in mid-March, SITA news agency reported. The new line, whose construction started in May 2010, will create 300 jobs. Embraco Slovakia, is the local unit of Brasilian Embraco, a leading producer of compressors for refrigeration. Embraco, a subsidiary of Whirlpool, employs 1,800 people in its Slovak plant. The company directly employs about 9,600 people in six countries - Brazil, China, Italy, Slovakia, USA and Mexico, according to information on its website.
