EC grants EUR 174mn to Serbia for infrastructure projects.

The European Commission head in Serbia Vincent Deger and Serbian deputy PM Bozidar Djelic are due to ink an agreement for EUR 174mn grant from the EC for the financing of 26 projects in Serbia. The funds will be spent on local infrastructure (EUR 31mn), and higher education infrastructure development (EUR 25mn), as well as for supporting development of southern and southwestern Serbia (EUR13.7mn). The funds granted by the EC are part of the EU's Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA).
