The European Commission said it has allocated EUR 26.5mn in financial assistance to Montenegro under the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA). The aid programme aims to support reforms in the country. The main sectors financed in Montenegro include justice, home affairs and fundamental rights, private sector-led economic development and public administration reform. Other Western Balkan countries receiving 2011 IPA funding include Albania (EUR 82mn), Bosnia (EUR 91.3mn), Croatia (39.2mn), Kosovo (EUR 62.9mn), Macedonia (EUR 28.9mn) and Serbia (EUR 178.6mn). |
