Bulgaria, Serbia ink agreement on EUR 120mn gas link project.

Serbian energy minister Petar Skundric and Bulgarian economy and energy minister Traicho Traikov have inked an agreement on building gas interconnection system between the countries. Building of gas interconnection between the two states aims to lower their dependence on Russian gas deliveries. The agreement defines further steps in implementation of the project and calls for the support of the European Commission and other financial institutions for the project. The gas pipeline to be built will be 180 kilometres long and it will cost EUR 100-120mn, Skundric said.
