Car parts maker ZWL Slovakia plans to invest EUR 1.8mn to expand the production of steel rotating parts for the auto making industry, as the growth of car production in Slovakia has led to increased demand from suppliers, Webnoviny reported. The company plans to start building a new production hall over an area of 4,500 sq m at its plant in Sucany, northern Slovakia, later this year and to finalise it a year later. It will install new production lines that will boost its annual production of steel rotating parts, which exceeded 6 million units last year, by 200%. ZWL expects to create 170 new jobs. It now employs some 70 people. ZWL Slovakia is controlled by German companies Neue ZWL Zahnradwerk Leipzig GmbH and Gesellschaft mbH Beteiligungs Rosa. |
