A Russian man who fought for the Wagner Group in Ukraine has been arrested after shooting a business associate at a St. Petersburg restaurant.

On March 18, a man named by local press as Alexey Isakov shot his business partner at point blank in Chabrets, a restaurant on the city’s Moskovsky Prospekt. According to reports, Isakov was in prison with a three-and-a-half-year sentence for the theft of a safe and a trailer with a snowmobile, before he left to join the Wagner Group and fight in Ukraine.

According to Fontanka, a St. Petersburg-based outlet, Isakov shot dead his associate over a debt of RUB7mn ($75,880). The two men had been discussing payment for some time, and the deceased had brought a portion of the sum to the meeting. 

Isakov was arrested for murder. 

Video published on Telegram by the news channel Bumaga shows Isakov pulling out his gun at the table and shooting. He then gets up and shoots the deceased numerous times, before returning to the table and eating his meal.
