US companies invest USD 1.6bn in Serbia - ambassador.

US companies have so far invested some USD 1.6bn in Serbia, Privredni Pregled daily reported, citing US ambassador to Belgrade Mary Warlick. According to ambassador Warlick, US companies employ some 8,000 people in Serbia. Serbia continues to be an attractive investment destination for US companies, Warlick said at an economic summit in Belgrade and added that the US embassy is working to strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
