Some 67% of Czechs save regularly - survey.

Some 67% of Czechs save on a regular basis, a survey of Erste Bank, owner of local high-street bank Ceska Sporitelna, showed. Some 51% of Czechs put money aside every time they have some left over, the survey added. The average amount saved per month is CZK 2,659 (EUR 108), which is by 9% (CZK 219) y/y higher. The most used savings product in the Czech Republic is building savings (52%), followed by savings books or savings accounts (39%), life or capital insurance (38%), government endorsed pension insurance (36%) and securities, funds or investment funds (17%). Some 28% of Czechs keep their savings at home or in a safe.
