Slovakia's economic sentiment worsens in February 2012.

Slovakia's economic sentiment index worsened in February 2012 following increases in the previous two months, data from the statistics office showed. The value of the three-month running average of the indicator fell to 89.8 points in February from 90.2 points in the previous month, as a result of more pessimistic evaluations of businessmen in industry, construction and services. Retail trade entrepreneurs and consumers were more optimistic in February compared to January. On an annual basis, the economic sentiment this month was by 7.6 points lower. It was by 7.8 points lower than the long-term average.
