Luxembourg-based SES ASTRA has signed a deal with Albanian Post to provide its satellite broadband service ASTRA2Connect to offer customers free Internet access in rural areas throughout the country, the company said on its website. The project is part of a wide-scale initiative backed by the Albanian government called Digital Albania. We note that SES ASTRA entered the local market in August 2010, when it signed a distribution agreement with local satellite service provider Starsat.
