The Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), led by former deputy Radicals leader Tomislav Nikolic, won the elections in Belgrade s municipality of Vozdovac with 33.34% of the vote. SNS will have 22 seats in the municipal assembly, according to preliminary results from the municipal election commission. President Boris Tadics Democratic Party (DS) came in second with 29.5% of the vote or 20 seats in the 56-memebr assembly. The coalition led by the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) of former PM Vojislav Kostunica won 8.85% of the vote or 6 seats in the assembly, while the camp led by the Socialists (SPS) secured 5 seats (or 7.3% of the votes). Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) was backed by 5% of the voters. Following the June local elections in the municipality, DS and the SPS-led camp remained only a vote short of majority in the 56-seat Vozdovac assembly.
