Serbia's April hotel, restaurant prices climb 3.9% y/y, up 0.3% m/m.

Serbia's hotel and restaurant industry prices rose by an annual 3.9% in April after climbing 3.8 % on the year in March, the statistics office said. In monthly terms, the hotel and restaurant industry prices increased 0.3% in April, the same as they did a month earlier. Serbia's hotel and restaurant industry prices rose by an annual 3.8% in the first four months of 2012. April food prices in the catering industry rose 3.9% on the year, slower than the 4.4 % annual growth recorded a month earlier. Alcoholic beverages prices increased by an annual 7% in April, speeding up from March's 6.7% year-on-year rise. The growth in prices of non-alcoholic beverages also quickened on the year in April, to 6% versus 5.9% in March. Overnight accommodation prices, however, fell by an annual 1% in April after dropping 2.2% in the third month of the year.
