Sales of cinemas in Czech Republic up 7% in 2012.

Cinema ticket sales in the Czech Republic increased by 7% on the year to CZK 1.28bn (EUR 12.1mn) in 201, CTK news agency reported citing data from the Film Distributors' Union (UFD). The number of cinema visitors was 4% higher on the year at 11.2mn. The average price of a cinema ticket was also higher than in 2011 and stood at CZK 120. In 2011 the number of cinema goers fell by 20% to 10.8mn and cinema sales dropped to CZK 1.2bn from CZK 1.5bn in 2010.
