Russia is the biggest foreign investor in Montenegro and intends to retain this position through the implementation of more projects in the country, Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov stated during his visit to Podgorica, Vijesti daily reports. Lavrov mentioned in particular the local tourist industry, which remains in the centre of attention of Russian investors and noted that a number of Russian tourist operators consider investments on the local market. Lavrov and his Montenegrin peer Milan Rocen discussed efforts for boosting the cooperation between the two countries not only in the economic sphere but also in the fields of education, science and culture. |
