The governments of the three Balkan countries that are members of the EU, Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, have backed EU visa liberalisation for Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The foreign ministers of the three countries adopted a joint statement of Friday (May 21), expressing their support for the Western Balkans' EU accession. However, the internal reforms are vital for the country to make progress on the European agenda, regional cooperation and bilateral relations, Bulgarian foreign minister Nikolay Mladenov said. We note that Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina are expected to be given the green light for EU visa liberali?ation at the forthcoming Sarajevo summit on June 2. |
