NLB Montenegrobanka turns to Q1 net loss.

NLB Montenegrobanka reported a net loss of EUR 0.83mn in the first three months of 2012 after posting a EUR 9,000 net profit a year earlier, according to preliminary results posted on the website of the central bank. NLB Montenegrobanka's net interest income fell 3% on the year to EUR 5.5mn, while its net income from fees declined 4.5% on the year to EUR 1.36mn in the first quarter of the current year. Total assets stepped up by an annual 1.7% to EUR 511.1mn. Loans and leasing operations went down by 0.9% on the year to EUR 434.9mn. Deposits increased by 7.3% on the year to EUR 366.1mn, covering 84.2% of loans. NLB Montenegrobanka is majority controlled by Slovenian lender NLB.
