New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria edge down 0.7% y/y in Jan-Sept 2012.

New passenger car registrations in Bulgaria edged down by 0.7% on the year to 14,252 units in the first nine months of 2012, the European Automobile Manufacturers Association said. Still among the EU countries that registered fall in car sales, Bulgaria was the one that witnessed the smallest annual drop. Overall, car sales in the EU dropped by 7.6% y/y to 10.1mn units in Jan-Sept. In September alone, car registrations in Bulgaria were 21.6% lower y/y at 1,347 units, above the EUs decrease of 10.8%. .
