National Commercial Bank awarded best Albanian bank for 2010.

Financial magazine The Banker has named Turkish-owned lender National Commercial Bank (BKT) the Best Bank of the Year 2010 in Albania, Albanian Daily News reported. The award reflects the banks steady performance throughout the year which resulted in increased market share that reached an all-time high of 17.5%, BKTs board chairman Mehmet Usta said. BKT is Albanias second-largest lender in terms of assets, preceded only by Austrian Raiffeisen Bank. The bank operates a network of 71 branches, out of which 58 are situated in Albania and 13 in Kosovo.
