Montenegro has achieved considerable progress towards integration to NATO but there are still certain areas where additional effort needs to be invested, according to the US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs (ISA) Joseph McMillan, quoted by national TV broadcaster RTCG. McMillan noted that Montenegro has achieved plenty towards its membership in a very short period of time and expressed confidence that the country would benefit from its accession in NATO, especially in the field of collective security and regional stability.
