Montenegro's tourism revenues reach EUR 140mn in H1 2012.

Montenegro posted EUR 140mn in tourism revenue in H1 and 24% higher tourist tax collection compared to a year earlier, the tourism ministry informed. A 6.9% y/y rise in the total number of tourists in H1 and a 7% y/y increase in the overnight stays in H1 point to a good tourist season this year that is expected to last until early November. The majority of the foreign tourists came from Russia, followed by tourists from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
