Montenegro's retail sales growth slows down to 0.2% y/y in Nov 2012.

Montenegro's retail sales growth slowed down to only 0.2% y/y in real terms in November 2012 from 1.1% in October, statistics office data showed. The slow-down may be attributed to seasonal weakening of tourist-related retail sales. The three-month average data indicates a slight improvement to 1.5% y/y from 1.1% in Aug-Oct and 0.9 in Q3 but considerably below last year's levels of around 4%. In monthly terms, retail trade turnover dropped for a third month in a row but the decline decelerated to 8.7% in Nov from 15.9% a month earlier. In Jan-Nov 2012, retail sales added 4.7% on the year vs. 5.1% in Jan-Oct.
