Montenegro, Croatia to join efforts for securing funds for Bar-Boljare highway.

By bne IntelliNews February 23, 2010
The Montenegrin and Croatian governments will join efforts for securing financial resources for the construction of key highway Bar-Boljare. This was announced by the heads of the two governments, Milo Djukanovic and Jadranka Kosor, following the talks in Podgorica. Kosor was on one-day visit to the country, trying to resolve the issue with the Croatian consortium, which won the tender for construction of Bar-Boljare motorway. We remind that the consortium, consisting of Konstruktor Inzenjering, Tehnika, and Institut Gradjevinarstva Hrvatske (IGH), had some difficulties in securing the required guarantee and the initially defined deadline was prolonged by 2 months until end-February. Djukanovic and Kosor stated that the two governments would look together for an agreement with the international financial institutions but refused to elaborate on the details.
