Majority of Serbian citizens support EU entry.

A majority of Serbian citizens, 65%, supports the countrys EU integration, director of the government's EU Integration Office Milica Delevic said. According to a survey, conducted by the governments EU Integration Office, the number of citizens supporting the countrys EU entry has been on the rise. Delevic said that the increased support was due to recent unfreezing of the interim trade agreement between Serbia and the EU and scrapping of the visa regime for Serbian citizens. Delevic added that the citizens support for EU entry has grown by some 4pps compared to May 2009. According to the survey, citizens are expecting from EU integration to bring better future for young people (54%), improve possibilities for travelling to the EU (37%), provide more possibilities for employment (37%) and improve situation in the country generally (29%).
