Macedonia's industrial employment up by 3.3% y/y in May 2011.

Macedonia's industrial employment index rose by 3.3% y/y in May, decelerating from 3.5% y/y in April, the statistics office reported. As recalled, the industrial production surged by 11.8% y/y in April and by 6.9% y/y in May. In May, the employment in mining rose by 2.8% y/y, in manufacturing - by 3.2% y/y, and in utilities - by 4.1% y/y. In aggregate terms, the industrial employment increased by 1.9% y/y in Jan-May.
