According to data of the statistics office, the index of the number of employees in industry increased by 2.3% y/y in August, accelerating from 1.9% y/y in July. As recalled, industrial production rose by 5.5% y/y in July, but its growth slowed down to 0.9% y/y in August. In August alone, the annual increases in employment in mining, manufacturing and utilities were 3.7%, 2% and 4.1%, respectively. Industrial employment has increased by 2.1% y/y in Jan-Aug. |
