Lukerg Renew, a joint-venture of Russian oil company Lukoil and Italianenergy group ERG, has taken over a wind farm in Tulcea, eastern Romania, and plans to invest a total of EUR 135mn in the project, news agency Mediafax reported. The construction works will start in Q1 next year and the farm is scheduled for completion by mid-2014. The investor expects to receive financing from the EBRD for the project. Judging from the size of the investment, the wind farm will have an installed capacity of roughly 90MW. Romania's wind power generation capacity will reach 2,000MW by the end of this year and probably 3,000MW by end-2013.
