LT: KEPCO confirms its interest in Lithuanian Nuclear plant project.

Korea Electric Power Corp. has confirmed that it has submitted a proposal to become the strategic investor in the Lithuanian nuclear power plant project. Yet, other contestants remain unknown. PM Andrius Kubilius would not comment on the exact entrants to the tender, yet he indicates that the tender has been successful and the government is reviewing proposals. Strategic investor is about to receive 51% stake in the new nuclear plant. Energy minister Arvydas Sekmokas indicated that the nuclear plant should go into operation in 2018-2020.
