Kazakhstan raises grain exports by 32% y/y in Q1.

As of April 1, the country exported 5.7mn tonnes of grains of the harvest-2009, an increase of 32% y/y, declared Akhylbek Kurishbaev, the Minister of Agriculture. According to the head of the Ministry, the country lowered grain export volumes in the recent period due to rather low level of the world prices. At the same time, he noted that Kazakhstan will export about 6.5mn tonnes of grain in the near future.
