Kazakhstan plans to create a rating bureau for oil and gas goods and service suppliers, head of the Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas Uzakbai Karabalin has stated at a regular meeting of Kazenergys Coordinating Council. The main goal of the rating agency is to create a kind of database of oil and gas service and equipment suppliers with a certain evaluating rating, Karabalin has informed. This will allow oil and gas companies to choose contractors to their requirements and to avoid low-quality competitors, offering service and goods at dumping prices. To remind you, Kazakhstan is consistently taking steps in order to increase Kazakh content in oil and gas sector. The companies are required to buy a certain quota of the Kazakh goods and services.
