Kazakhstan exports 11mn tons of grain this marketing year.

Kazakhstan has exported 11mn tons of grain, including flour in grain equivalent this marketing year until Jun 11, the Agriculture Ministry has said. Since Jan 1, the country exported 6.5mn tons of grain, including 1mn tons of flour. Kazakhstan exports average 1mn tons of grain each month and plans to supply further 3mn tons of grain abroad until Sep 1. Kazakhstan is among top 10 grain exporters in the world. Last year, the country harvested record 27mn tons of grain in net weight. Export potential for this marketing year is estimated at 15mn tons but deficit of railway carriers restricts exports. The Ministry expects that 14mn tons of grain will be exported in this marketing year. Average grain crop this year is projected at 15-16mn tons this year.
