Industrial production index increased 0.2% y/y in Q3/2011.

Hong Kong's index of industrial production increased 0.2% y/y in the third quarter of this year. As reported by Reuters News, according to the data released by the Census and Statistics department, the textile output reduced 11.2% and the output of metal, computer, electronic and optical products, machinery and equipment decreased by 12.2% during the period. The food, beverages and tobacco output grew 5.7%, whereas the output of paper products, printing and reproduction of recorded media increased 1.4% during the period.
