Germany's WAZ Media Group is exiting Macedonia, Alfa TV station reported. WAZ is selling the daily newspapers Dnevnik, Utrinski vesnik and Vest, as well as all remaining local publications. The TV station reports that the most likely buyer is the IT company Seavus. The primary focus of Seavus is IT, but the company also owns the news agency MakFax. Alfa reports that in a telephone conversation, Seavus CEO Igor Lestar has denied the information about the acquisition. However, the TV station also reports sources from the selling side, who said that the negotiations are at an advanced stage.
