First McDonalds restaurant in Bosnias Serb Republic opens on Oct 18.

The first McDonalds restaurant in Bosnias Serb Republic, worth BAM 2.5mn (EUR 1.28mn), is going to open doors on Thursday, Oct 18, news agency Srna reported, quoting the head of franchising company Dreamfoods, Dragos Pavicevic, as saying. This will be the third such restaurant in Bosnia after first McDonalds outlets were opened in Sarajevo and Mostar, in Bosnias Muslim-Croat Federation, last year. The restaurant in Banja Luka will employ 80 workers and meet its guests on an area of 840 square metres. According to Pavicevic, another three to five new McDonalds restaurants will open doors in the Republic in the next five years. The first Banja Luka restaurant is expected to contribute around BAM 1.5mn annually to the budgets of the city and the Republic, he said.
