Eurostat: Serbias GDP per capita in 2008 at 36% of EU average.

GDP per capita in Serbia, expressed in purchasing power standards stood at 36% of the EU27 average in 2008, slightly improving from 34% and 33% recorded in the previous two years, the data published by Eurostat showed. Judging by this indicator, Serbia was better rated than Bosnia and Herzegovina , Macedonia and Albania . On the other hand, Serbia lags behind other countries in the region, namely Slovenia and Croatia .
