Montenegro will be ready to join the EU by 2014, European integration minister Gordana Djurovic announced. The official noted that most probably the country will start negotiations with the EU in 2011, while the talks are likely to be finalised in about 3 years. However, Djurovic noted that the actual accession of the country would depend on some other issues, apart from its readiness, including the willingness of the EU for further enlargement. The politician stated that the realistic date for Montenegro 's entry into the Union is not later than 2018. |
