EBRD extends EUR 30mn loan to Romanian Banca Transilvania.

The EBRD endorsed a EUR 30mn financing to Romanian Banca Transilvania aimed at supporting small and medium-sized companies, the Bank announced on its website. One third of the sum comes under EU-backed Romania SME Sustainable Energy Financing Facility (RoSEFF) and the money will go to energy efficiency and renewable energy projects. EBRD is a shareholder [14.6%] and important financier of Banca Transilvania. Banca Transilvania is a medium-sized Romanian lender with Bank of Cyprus, beside EBRD, as significant shareholder.
