The Czech unit of Germany chemical group Henkel boosted its sales by 2% to CZK 4.3bn in 2011 despite the unfavourable economic environment, CTK newswire reported citing CEO Jaroslava Haid-Jarkova. The strongest sale increase of 7% was registered in the glues and technology segment where the company's market share expanded by 1.5pps. Sales in the cosmetics unit were by 1% higher, while in the detergents and cleaning agency unit they dropped by 1%. Henkel entered the Czech market in 1991. It employs 250 people in the country, out of 47,000 around the world. |
