Czech state-owned postal operator Ceska Posta is interested in entering the Slovak market, eTREND reported. The Czech operator is considering buying a Slovak company that delivers letters and parcels, its general director Petr Zatloukal said, but declined to reveal the name of the firm. The idea is that we deliver letters and parcels also to neighbouring countries, he said. The acquisition process is still at its initial stage and it would take about nine months to finalise a potential deal. Zatloukal said also that Ceska Posta wants to change its focus from letter deliveries to parcel deliveries, including large logistics operations like transportation of containers.
