Czech auto industry eyes record output in 2011.

Czech Automobile Industry Association (SAP) expects the auto industry to register a record-high output of 1.182mn vehicles in 2011, by 9.8% more than in the previous year, Ceska Pozice reported. The annual production rise will be slightly higher than the 9.47% y/y growth reported in 2010. The sectors growth was driven mainly by the countrys largest auto producer Skoda Auto, which targets a double digit output increase in 2011. The average wage in the Czech auto industry in the first half of 2011 stood at CZK 29,473 (EUR 1,200), some 25% above the average for the country.
