Czech AAA Auto says first-half sales rise 16%.

The Czech Republic's largest used car dealer AAA Auto sold 25,841 cars in the first half of 2012, up by 16.2% y/y, thanks to higher demand in all three markets where the company is active, AAA Auto said on its website. Sales on the domestic market grew by 11.5% on the year to 18,341 cars and in Slovakia they increased by 13.4% y/y to 6,565 cars. In Russia, where AAA AUTO Group opened its first branch in September 2011, the group sold 935 cars in January to June 2012 as sales in the second quarter of the year grew by 68.7% from the previous three months.
