Construction works value in Bosnias Serb Republic shrinks 14.5% y/y in Jan-Apr.

The value of the completed construction works in Bosnias Serb Republic fell 14.5% on the year in the first four months of 2012, the Republics statistics office said without providing a figure. In April alone, the value of completed works dropped an annual 14.8% and a monthly 1.7%, the office said in a statement. The number of workers at the Republics construction sites fell by an annual 5.7% in the first four months of 2012, while the volume of effective working hours shrank 2.4% over the period. The number of workers engaged in the construction sector in April dropped 1.5% on the year but rose 3.5% on the month. The amount of effective working hours spent in the fourth month of 2012 rose by an annual 0.9% and by a monthly 3.6%.
