Constitutional Court rejects Bosniaks request on RS parliament conclusions.

By bne IntelliNews March 4, 2010
The
RS Constitutional Court
rejected the motion filed by the Bosniak caucus in entity parliament for protection of vital national interest with regards to the conclusions of the assembly on the imposed solutions by the OHR. As recalled, the entity parliament rejected the imposed OHR decisions on extension of the mandates of the foreign judges and prosecutors in the country at end-December. However, the
Constitutional Court
ruled out that the disputable conclusions of the assembly did not contain general legal norm and obligatory character, while they represented a political rather than legal act. We note that last month the entity parliament adopted amendments to the law on referendum and citizens initiative, which was also challenged by the Bosniaks in front of the
Constitutional Court
.
