Ceske Radiokomunikace gets nod to merge with peer Morava Czech.

The antitrust office UOHS has given the green light to telecommunications company Ceske Radiokomunikace to merge with peer Morava Czech Communications Holdings, CIA newswire reported. The merger will not hamper the competition on the market, UOHS chairperson Pet Rafaj said. We remind that in December, Ceske Radiokomunikace bought 100% of Czech Digital Group (CDG) from SPD Corporation. CDG owns and operates the third terrestrial digital multiplex (MUX3), which upon completion is expected to cover 85% of the population with TV signal from 15 transmission locations. Also in December, Falcon Group, 75% controlled by Mid Europa Partners, signed an agreement to sell 100% of Ceske Radiokomunikace to a consortium of funds led by Macquarie for approximately EUR 574mn (CZK 14.3bn).
