Car parts maker TRW Steering Sytems Slovakia to expand plant.

Car parts manufacturing company TRW Steering Sytems Slovakia will expand its plant in Nove Mesto Nad Vahom, western Slovkia, news agency SITA informed. The amount of the investment was not revealed. However, it is expected that 250 new workers will be hired over the next three years. The construction works will start this year and it is expected that production will begin in early 2011. The extension of the existing plant will support the Electrically Powered Steering (EPS) systems business of TRW. Currently, the plant in Nove Mesto employs about 400 people. TRW Steering Systems Slovakia deals with the installation of electric motors for power steering in cars. The company belongs to the TRW Automotive group, which ranks among the world's ten largest automotive suppliers.
