Business sentiment in Macedonia's retail sector deteriorates in Q3 2012.

The business sentiment in Macedonia's retail trade sector worsened in Q3, according to a statistics office survey. The assessment of the present business situation in the companies deteriorated by 0.5 pps q/q and 2.4 pps y/y to positive 25.8% in Q3. The expectations for the orders during the next three months worsened by 0.8 pps q/q and 0.1 pps y/y to positive 15.5%. The expectations for the business situation during the next six months deteriorated by 0.1 pps q/q and 0.4 pps y/y to positive 18.9% in Q3. On the positive side, the assessment of the present financial situation improved by 0.3 pps q/q and 0.5 pps y/y to positive 20.8% in the third quarter of this year. The most important limiting factors in the sector included low demand with 35.1%, increased competition with 16.3% and increased offer on the market with 15.3%.
