Bosnias Visegrad hydropower plant net profit at EUR 2mn in 2012.

The net profit of Bosnias Visegrad hydropower plant totalled EUR 2mn in 2012, the CEO of Bosnian hydropower plants operator Hidroelektrana (HE) na Drini, Mile Lakic, was quoted as saying by news agency Srna. Lakic did not give year-on-year comparison figures. The Visegrad plant is the sole hydropower plant operated by HE na Drini, which is part of government-controlled power producer Elektroprivreda RS. The Visegrad plant has three units of 105 MW each. In 2012, the plants electricity production climbed 20% to 857.84 GWh, Lakic said, adding that this years electricity output is also projected to increase but at a slower pace of 6% to 909 GWh. The plant produced 310 GWh in the first quarter (excluding the second half of March), already some 29% above the plan.
