Bosnias Serb Republic revenue down 7.7% y/y to EUR 68.7mn in Jan.

Bosnias Serb Republic collected BAM 134.2mn (EUR 68.7mn) in public revenue in January 2013, down 7.7% on the year, the Republics tax administration office said. Direct tax revenue inched by an annual 1.7% BAM 27mn (20.1% share in total public revenue), reflecting an increase in profit and property tax collections by 8.4% y/y to BAM 6.8mn and by 91% to BAM 1.2mn, respectively. Income tax revenues dropped 3.5% y/y to BAM 18.3mn over the period. January revenue from social contributions shrank 9.7% y/y to BAM 90.3mn, accounting for a 67.2% share in total public revenue. Health insurance contributions declined 15.5% y/y to BAM 34.4mn while retirement insurance contributions went down 5.5% on the year to BAM 49.4mn. Other public revenue, including income from fees and commissions, dropped by 9.6% y/y to BAM 16.9mn and made up 12.6% of the total.
