Bosnias Jan-Aug industrial output down 6% y/y.

Bosnias industrial output fell 3% y/y in August after declining 5.4% y/y in July, the statistics office said in a statement. The mining and quarrying industry registered a smaller yearly drop (-6.7% y/y) than a month earlier (-16.1% in July). Electricity, gas, steam and water supply fell 10.8% y/y after shrinking 13.7% in July. August manufacturing production remained unchanged in annual terms after contracting 0.9% in the previous month. JanAug industrial output shrank 6% y/y. IntelliNews Coment: Bosnias industrial production growth rates have plunged into the negative territory since the beginning of the year, sending negative signals about the sectors contribution to Bosnias economic output. In 2011, industry accounted for some 26% of total value added.
